THE RELIGIOUS OF THE HERALDS OF THE GOSPEL - BRIEF ENCOUNTERS IN BRAZIL.

 As you have already read several posts on my trip to Brazil this year, I would like to share with you glimpses into the lives of some of the members of the Heralds of the Gospel that I met. 

Since I had 'met' them earlier online courtesy Arautos sem Segredos (Heralds without Secrets) , one of their YouTube channels, I was eager to make my acquaintance with them and request for a photograph with them. To me, they are celebrities worth having digital memories of. At Sedes Sapientae, on 23 May 2025, I met these sisters.

At the Seat Sta Hildegard, I met these sisters. Sr. Lucilia Bassi is one of nine children, eight of whom are religious brothers or sisters in the Heralds of the Gospel. 


Sr Kristen, one of our very own Indian sisters, had also transferred recently from Mater Castisimma to Sta Hildegard. 

I was especially delighted to meet Sr Maria Antonieta, an octogenarian, whose video I link here for my readers to enjoy.

At the Seat of Monte Carmelo, motherhouse of the Second Order, on 24 May, we met Sr Diana, who had come to India and the Superior General for India, Sr Terezita Morazzani. 


On 25 May, we visited Cenaculo in the city area. This is the elementary school Seat. I met Sr Paloma, Sr Ana Bruna and Sr all of whose videos I had watched.

  God has His ways (Is 55:10). Who can understand the mind of God? His plan is so perfect - we can only appreciate it in retrospect.  I saw so many tiny and huge miracles in the month of July that my love and trust in Him grew by leaps and bounds. BRAZILIAN JUNE WITH THE VU FAMILY

The day dawned when I left the shores of India for Brazil. 15 May, Qatar Airways 523 GOX-DOH and 773 DOH-GRU. We reached on time at GRU airport, and Bro Rene and Nathan were there to take us to our respective homes. I was to stay with Mrs Vu for five days, then join the pilgrimage group and return to her house after the pilgrimage was over.    During those five days, I got to meet Mrs Branca, a Canadian friend of the Vu family. She was very warm and made me feel at home.  Mrs Vu is Vietnamese. She is a mother of six children, three of whom live with her while one married son is settled in Canada. Of the other two sons, one is a Heralds priest, Fr James Vu. The other had gone lobster fishing with his father Mr Huan Vu to some place in Canada.  I was alloted a single bedroom which had no windows. THE INDIAN CARAVAN IN BRAZIL! Part Uno

Another two days and I will be flying away from the Paradise on Earth which is Tabor.  I arrived reluctantly and am going back reluctantly.  Where on earth will I find the solitude, the simplicity of the liturgy, the great silence, the awesome ambience of the Mass as I have experienced here at Tabor?  Dona Lucilia has been behind all this planning and execution, with Msgr Joao and his grandiose vision of an Indian infusion into Brazil's mother house. I learnt the Secret of Mary - it is the prophet for our times, Dr. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira. Let me go back in history to 19 March  when I first took that bold step to join the Pilgrimage group coming to Brazil from India. Our numbers grew from 15 to 30 but only 26 chosen ones got to actually reach here.  The first miracle Dona Lucilia performed for me was to grant me my visa appointment date as 21 April, her death anniversary.
